Will my wedding photos be uploaded anywhere?

No. Shaadi Pic uses the browser's File System Access API to open the folder directly from your drive. Nothing is sent to any server — you can verify this in your browser's network tab. You can even disconnect from wi-fi after the page loads and it will still work.

Which browsers and devices does it support — laptop, iPad, iPhone?

A laptop or desktop running Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, or Opera. Those browsers support the File System Access API, which is what lets Shaadi Pic read your wedding folder and write the picks back into it. Desktop Safari and Firefox are not supported yet. iPad and iPhone are not supported either — Apple does not let any browser on iOS walk a folder of photos, so a native iOS app is being built instead; you can join the waitlist from the home page.

Does Shaadi Pic handle iPhone HEIC photos and RAW files?

Yes. HEIC photos are decoded right in the browser. JPEG, PNG, and most RAW preview formats are supported too.

How many photos can it handle?

Thousands in one sitting — a typical Indian wedding delivery of 8,000 to 15,000+ photos across ceremony, sangeet, and reception folders works fine. Point it at the top-level wedding folder and it walks every subfolder for you, so nothing needs to be flattened first.

How do I send my picks back to my photographer?

A /selected subfolder is created inside the wedding folder you opened. Your originals stay untouched, and the filenames match, so your photographer can line them up against their own library. Zip that folder and email it or drop it in Drive.

Can I stop halfway and come back?

Yes. Progress is saved locally in your browser (IndexedDB). Close the tab, come back next weekend, and pick up exactly where you left off.

My photos are split across a lot of subfolders — do I need to flatten them first?
